Mesh Banners are used for outdoor activities which include festivals, events, and shows because they enable wind flow and sound to travel through the material. Yet another common use is for retail store front banners. Mesh Banner material allows some visibility through windows and also permits natural light into the store.

Mesh Banners are ideal for situations where a banner will be subjected to significant wind conditions. Since the material is more lightweight, mesh is a feasible alternative to vinyl to counteract the "sail" effect in windy conditions.

If you are trying to find large format banners to hide scaffolding on a construction job, or expect to subject your banner in massive winds, Mesh Banners are the recommended choice.

The choice between a mesh banner and a vinyl banner has more to do with its usage than with its message.  Your choice of artwork for a mesh banner is an important factor. Mesh banners are made primarily for outdoor use and are specifically created to move with the wind. The "holes" that allow the wind to blast through the sign also impact how the graphic appears. Artwork, company logos, and photos will appear more clear and crisper on a vinyl banner than on a mesh banner, although some art and graphics can still be utilized on mesh surfaces with satisfactory results. For optimum impact, use basic art and typefaces on mesh banners and expect the colors to be somewhat "softer" or muted. Bolder colors will and more elaborate artwork and logo designs will show better on a vinyl banner.
